Day 2: No tour....no problem!!

This morning we had a city tour and a visit to Pearl Harbour locked in. Unfortunately we waited at one of the pick up points on time, but our ride didn't come for us! We were in a mild panic, but decided that we wouldn't get upset until we found out what had happened once we could phone from our room back at the hotel. We were a little worried that we were at restaurant stop called Eggs N Things which could have had more than one store.....this was true, but luckily once we'd called the tour operator, we found out that the tour had in fact been cancelled because of "low ridership." Thank god! We were at the wrong stop anyway. They changed the tour for the next day and all was sorted.

What now? Shopping!! Beth had recommended the Premium Factory outlets for a day out. Again it is hard to do stuff when you're pregnant, but shopping is something that is doable. It was worth the trip, with many bargains to be had. The baby scored well with a mere 24 outfits! It isn't even born yet, which is a worrying sign. After the first two stops all for the baby, we decided to walk passed the third store. In terms of our own needs, lots for the female, not much for the male. We always buys lots in the States because the clothes are much cheaper, particularly the designer stuff. The Coach store was going off because the sales were amazingly good.

We ended up having some delicious burgers at Chilis, which is a chain of sports bars and were able to see the end of the NFL playoff game between the Green Bay Packers and the 49ers. The atmosphere was good and we liked our lunch there. Back to the shops for one more hour of power shopping, before taking the bus back to Waikiki.

We chilled in the room at the hotel for a who, because it was dinner time, but given the heavy, late lunch, there was no way we were ready for any eating. This situation provided us with the opportunity to try back later on at the Cheesecake Factory. We ended up getting in there just before 10pm, which was perfect for our hunger level. The food did not disappoint! We love love love the warm bread, particularly the dark bread, we call chocolate bread! Yummy! It is a worthwhile place to eat at and we'd previously discovered this chain in Miami on our honeymoon about 6 months ago.
